One Life

What is so great
That consumes us of fear
Why must we hide of what we truly are
And be ashamed of the person we see in the mirror
Does this world exist with more of such fabrication and lies
That we forget who we are and from where we came from
Can we take one minute of our so busy day
Long enough to pose the question to ourselves
If today was the last day
Have you any regrets un-mended
And things unsaid?
If you will be honest and swallow your pride
Make time for the ones you love
Have empathy for people you don't know
Make your wrongs right
Forgive and forget
So if today was your last
You knew you atleast took time
To attempt to make a good life
Stop fearing yourself
And confirming to ways just to fit in
You have only one who will forgive your sins
No man on Earth can take away
From you what he didn't give
So love who you are
And be happy
With no regrets in life
After all you are given just one life to live
